N.S. forestry companies form lobby group to reopen Northern Pulp

Some Nova Scotia forestry companies have formed lobby group called Friends of a New Northern Pulp to support the restart of the shuttered pulp mill.

According to CBC News, the lobby group launched a website and social media page in support of Northern Pulp’s $350-million plan to reopen the plant.

Members of the Friends of a New Northern Pulp steering committee include group chair Robin Wilber, owner of Elmsdale Lumber sawmill, Peter Spicer of Seven Gulches Forestry, Ryan Scott of Scott & Stewart Forestry, Andy MacGregor of MacGregor’s Industrial Group and woodlot owner Earle Miller.
